Description
Euphorbia mammillaris alba pot= 12 cm
Prefers full sun to bright, indirect light. Place it near a sunny window if grown indoors; outdoors, provide several hours of direct sunlight daily. It can tolerate some moderate shade but will grow best with abundant light.
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems, leading to root rot.
In the growing season (spring and summer), water deeply but infrequently-typically once a week, or when the top inch or two of soil is dry. In winter, reduce watering to once a month or less, as the plant is dormant.
Always use room temperature water to avoid shocking the plant.
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix. Amend standard potting soil with coarse sand, perlite, or pumice.
Ideal temperatures are above 10°C; protect from temperatures below 0°C .
During the growing season (spring and summer), with a diluted, balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4–6 weeks.
Do not fertilize during winter dormancy.
Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Use fresh, well-draining soil and a container with drainage holes.
Propagate from stem cuttings in spring or summer. Allow cuttings to callous for several days before planting in dry, well-draining soil.
The milky sap is irritating to the skin and eyes and toxic if ingested. Always wear gloves and wash your hands after handling. Keep away from pets and children
Watch for mealybugs, scale, and spider mites. Treat infestations promptly.
